Time was when floppy drives were considered state-of-the-art media with a capacity of 1.2 MB, while hard drives were huge, clumsy and expensive devices that boasted a storage capacity of a grand total of 2 GB, which was considered phenomenal at the time.

When something momentous hits a nation, its structure is affected by it in every way. Whether it is a flood or a tsunami wave, a famine or an epidemic, a civil war or a terrorist bombing, the point is that the people of the country are affected in every possible way.

Our data storage needs are growing at a rapid pace. While storing our data electronically helps us do away with stocking piles and piles of hard paper, it does pose a risk to our data as well.
